For Veterinarians Interested in Working with The Pet
Fund

- Veterinarians who wish to provide their clients with funding opportunities from The Pet Fund will first need to
have a phone conference with The Pet Fund staff.

- The Pet Fund will also have to verify your veterinary
license information before the application can be completed.

- Please note – we request that all treating veterinarians
run through the “For
Applicants” application process before requesting funding on behalf of clients so that you may become familiar with our funding guidelines. Our staff will depend largely on your professional judgment in determining eligibility for your clients, so it is critical that you understand our application guidelines. Even if your clients' application is approved, funding is limited and there may be a lengthy wait for fund availability. We will consult with you as to the urgency of the particular case(s) and we will make every effort to move the most urgent cases to the top of the waiting list for funding. We will also notify you on receiving your application as to the realistic timelines for available funding and the status of the waiting list.
Please feel free to contact The Pet Fund with any
questions at (916) 443-6007.

Hyperbaric Veterinary Medicine (HVM): Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is especially beneficial in challenging cases of wound healing, sepsis, pancreatitis and stroke, as well as crush and burn injuries and spinal cord trauma. By providing a negative environment for anaerobic bacteria, HBOT reduces infection, while promoting angiogenesis in areas of deficient vascularization, which is critical in overcoming radiation injuries. Monitored by staff members at all times using flat-screen television monitors and portholes, most patients require no sedation and remain calm and relaxed during treatment. Lasting about one hour, treatments are generally given one to two times daily. Equipment is available with no up-front costs except shipping to veterinarians practicing in the United States. Contact HVM for information about obtaining equipment for your practice:
